With a playing background spanning junior, youth, senior, and masters football across England and New Zealand, I transitioned into coaching to pass on experience to the next generation. Beginning in England within the FA system as a junior coach and referee, I have since coached and mentored a wide range of players in New Zealand across youth, men’s, and masters teams—working with social players through to Tier 1 athletes, and occasionally advising professionals. A standout achievement has been my work within the Western Suburbs women’s program, developing players of diverse abilities. An OFC C Licence coach, this season the focus with the First Team is to embrace the Capital Premier challenge, strengthen community and culture, and continue building success both on and off the pitch.
It’s great to be back coaching the Wests Firsts again and working alongside Steve and Carley. We have a fantastic group, good energy going into the season, and plenty to build on as we kick off in Cap Prem for 2026. My own personal football experience includes over 12 years of football coaching from social to Cap Prem, four years of leading the 140+ strong Wests coaching community, accredited to teach NZF/CF Football courses (JL1/2, YL1/2) and undertaking the OFC/NZF C license during the preseason

My aim for the 2026 season is to help create a positive, competitive environment where everyone can develop and enjoy their football. Having studied Sport Management at New Zealand Institute of Sport, worked as a strength and conditioning coach in the women’s space in 2025, coached U14s in GOSL, and run a 1:1 girls coaching business. I’m excited to support the girls on and off the field, keep learning as a coach, and help build a strong team culture in the women’s space
I’m looking forward to coaching our Women’s Reserves side this year. My aim for the 2026 season will be bringing a competitive edge to our playing and coaching group. I can’t wait to get started and am looking forward to working with Assistant Coach Kat Jamieson-Whittle. The goal will be to build a competitive side in Division two that can progress on to Division one. We will do this by creating a fun inclusive team environment with an emphasis on team and player development. I’ve had a diverse range of coaching experience at Wests working in our Women’s Programme last year and with our Youth sides for a number of years as a Head Coach. In addition, I’ve recently completed my C License course to help bring to life real match situations in the way we train and play. It’s going to be a cracking season ahead.

I loved my time playing for Wests and I am very excited to move into the coaching space. My focus this year will be continuing the development of our reserves team as a reliable platform for players to grow their footballing knowledge and skills in a competitive environment. Having played football at club and national league level over the years I look forward to sharing my knowledge and learning from those around me.
