New Year, New Season!

Wishing all our club members a Happy New Year. With just a month to go until 2024 registrations open it’s a chance to reflect on a club that is as healthy and vibrant as it has been for a very long time. The Board continues to work behind the scenes to ensure the club is moving forward and that Wests is the best it can be. At this time we need to thank all our 2023 coaches, managers, convenors and of course our fantastic sponsors who all allow us to do what we do. We trust everyone had a fabulous festive season and have been enjoying a summer rest.
Summer Football Our mixed and girls Fantails summer program having been a great success in term 4 2024 for our juniors aged 5-13 with over 120 children taking part.   We have opened registrations for Term 1 2024 and these will remain open until the program gets underway on Thursday the 1st of February 2024.   This is a great opportunity for children to come and give it a try before committing to the main Winter 2024 football season. The cost of the program is $40 for 8 weeks, and is a more informal program based around friendship, football and fun with coach led activities. Register here https://westernsuburbs.co.nz/programme/
We would like to shine a light on all our amazing volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure all of our footballers young and old have an amazing footballing experience. With special thanks to our Board, The Junior Committee, Our Coaches, team managers, referees and senior team managers. Without you all the club would not be in the great place it currently is. If you would like to step up and be an active club member and support the club we have many opportunities for you to do that, and we would love to have more people involved at all levels of the club.
SURVEY RESULTS We would also like to take the opportunity to thank all of our clubmembers who completed our members survey last month. This has provided us with some fantstic information in our planning for the 2024 season, and the overwhelmingly positive feedback has fulled the Board with confidence that the club is in a good position and with a few tweaks can continue to grow in a positive and rewarding manner.

2024 Registrations Open from the 1st of Feb 2024. Our online registrations will open from the 1st of February 2024 (if not earlier) and can be accessed via our website. For returning players the Friendly Manager database system makes this process streamlined when you click on the returning player option. An automated email will be sent to players once registrations are open.   For new or returning players who wish to register in person, we will hold a registration day on   Saturday the 10th of February   and for any last minute regos we will also have a further open day on Saturday the 2nd of March.   We look forward to seeing you all back at the club for the 2024 season.
