Almost 3 hours of football and very tired legs seen us go through to the Semifinals with 3 wins and top of group A!

Day 2...

Wests Lions 0 v 0 Lower Hutt (Lions win 2-1 on pens)
An all Wellington semifinal saw us up against Lower Hutt and a tense game ensued, heaps of goal opportunities for the Lions but couldn't score - score after 50 mins 0-0. Forced us to the nerve racking penalties....!!!! Sam and Jack both slotted their pens, and with Gabe saving 4 of the penalties sent us through to the final 2-1 winners!

The Final

After being under the pump in the first half the boys dug deep after being 2-1 down scoring some fabulous goals in a thrilling game.
They all played their hearts out after again creating some inspirational team play moments scoring 1 goal after the other. Goals from Ben 3, Sam 2 and Matt 1

The coaches were delighted with the performances and that the hard work the boys have put in at training inspired the win. All the parents who cheered and supported the Team were also very proud of the fantastic efforts, teamwork and determination of the players as the Lions were presented with the 12th Grade Winners Trophy, medals and footballs which the boys all signed for each other to cap off a successful Tournament and superb couple of days for the Western Suburbs 12th Grade Lions  ...!...!...!
